"I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights."
Thanks for playing and I look forward to your participation next week.
This brings us to my second piece of news. I am the other winner today with my fourth bloggy award. I am honored that Glama Ray has been moved enough to pass this quirky and unique award along to me with no rules attached. Glama Ray is the ultimate bloggy pin up girl and her blog reflects that so go on over and check her out. She has handcrafted products, fun photos, recipes, videos and different music on each post.
I am truly honored by all of the blog awards and for various reasons am 'attached' to the bloggers who have given them to me however the statement on this award defines how I feel most days, "Honey, you couldn't handle half of me."
[Therapeutic rant alert]
Let me explain, in my circle of friends I have always been the most misunderstood. It is a rare personality that 'gets me' and creates an instant connection. Most East coast personalities gel fine with me; it's the 'special people' in Los Angeles that are clueless about how to appreciate [and sometimes ignore] a direct, bold, assertive, honest personality like mine. And that gives them the excuse to label me. Now my being affected physically by the stroke gives certain individuals more ammunition to ostracize. Quite often, I observe abusive, certifiably insane folks with questionable character and for some reason they continue to thrive. I won't shock you with my stories. I'll suffice it to say that it truly baffles me. Regardless I am a fearfully and wonderfully made Alpha type FOR A REASON. This rant reminds me of the Shel Silverstein books The Missing Piece and The Missing Piece meets The Big O.
[Okay rant over].

Well that's about all of my news for today because I ran out of steam with my weekly themes and I have to really think about which blog(s) deserve(s) this unique award. Have a fantastic weekend and remember that you're all winners.
So love yourself and do something deserving for yourself this weekend!
Hi Dale!
ReplyDeleteSee, I made it over here! And I'm about to be your newest follower. I'm so glad we have Glama Ray in common.
I like your outlook on life, and we both love blogging. I'm not so internet savvy, but I'm working on it!
I'm off to explore more, but wanted to say a quick hello & congratulations on your Badass award. I was so excited when I won mine!
;-)
Have a wonderful day, and thank you again so much for checking out my blog and following!
Congratulations on your Badass Award! I saw that you came over to my blog from I Wonder Whye and left a wonderful and very much appreciated greeting to me. I hope you'll feel free to visit anytime.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!
Love your bad-ass award! It's perfect for you!
ReplyDeleteAnd ranting IS therapeutic! Glad you did! Just remember, when people say something mean or narrow-minded, it speaks volumes about them, NEVER the object of their negativity.
Hey, I just realized this very morning that I was not an official follower...and I rectified that. Better late, than never, right? ;)
Happy to say I am an East Coast personality - I know exactly what you are getting at - often the most crass idiotic people manage to find success - sucks for the rest of us who actually put in the effort but get nowhere :-(
