If you are asking yourself, "Why is Dale posting everyday?" Well I'm trying out new themes to see how I can get blog readers to correspond with me more frequently. So I encourage you to play along this week and if nothing else we'll get to know each other better :-)
A Wordle is similar to a crossword puzzle; Wordles can be placed vertically, horizontally or randomly on a page. I.e. this says WELCOME TO WORDLE WEDNESDAYS:
I must say that Wordles are powerd by http://www.wordle.net and when I first discovered them I was hooked. I don't actually remember the blog where I saw my first Wordle so if that is your blog and you are reading this my sincere apologies, my bad for poor bloggy etiquette :-( However, if I stumble across your blog again, I'll be sure to give you credit. Okay? okay...
Hint: My Wordles will always be quotes by historic figures, the bible, or everyday cliche's. I'll even give you the author. But when you respond, it's up to you to get the actual quote correct, verbatim. No paraphrases. Are you challenged? Are you ready?
Leave me a comment with your guess and I'll let you know if you are correct and will post the name/blog site of all the winners on my blog post the following day. There is no tangible prize for correct answers; no giveaways of any kind. This is a mind bending exercise. Mind benders keep me [ /us all] sharp, FYI survivors of traumatic brain injury are encouraged to participate in these types of exercises so [for me] solving the riddle [uh I mean Wordle] IS IT'S OWN REWARD!
To the synics who are saying,
"So where is the mind bending for you, Dale?"
"You know the answers."
Well, you're right. The challenge for me is making this challenging for you since those with varying levels of erudition will be reading. I choose the layout, color, word placement and I must find or remember the quotes. So there... pppllluugghhh!
Now that you understand, below is today's Wordle. Go, grab your pen, reference materials or keep Google powered up and let's see if you can solve it. Come on, you know you want to...
My very first Wordle challenge is a quote from Martin Luther King:

On your mark... get set... GO!
Hey Dale sorry the www.ribbonweare.blogspot.com has been under a rock lately... but I love ya...and am continually inspired by you... congrats on all your successes and I can't wait to read your newest blog!
ReplyDeleteHello Dale...I am so sorry that your witty comment did not save as I am sure I would have loved it :) If I can figure this Wordle thing out, I will try to participate...but in the meantime, thanks for popping over to my place :)

Ok, think I got it figured:
ReplyDelete"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter"
One of my personal faves and oh so true. Much, much fun! Thanks for the brain bender...
Thank you for dropping by today! I love word games! This should be fun!

Our lives begin to end the day that we become silent about things that matter.
ReplyDeleteThis was so challenging and I would have never solved it without the help of google!
Hey! Thanks for stoppin' by and commenting. I wanted to do the same and see what your blog was all about. It's fun to get to know the SITS ladies reading our blogs. This Wordle things has me totally interested. I am always up for a challenge. Take care!!
ReplyDeleteI see Renee has already completed the quote. I had to use google too. It is a thought provoking quote for sure...
ReplyDeleteExcellent idea about providing us with a challenge when we visit your site. I know that my mind is filled with all sorts of useless tidbits - usually ridiculous celebrity facts --- that this will provide a great way to activate the rest of my brain and fill it with something more meaningful :-)
