Today the Life and Style section of The Wall Street Journal ran a story about how readers are nostalgic for old fashioned communication; writing letters in the days before email, Facebook, Twitter, and texting. Actual penmanship on actual paper Do you remember when teachers used to critique our handwriting? I still enjoy receiving a letter from family and friends. My mom, although she emails too, still writes letters to me. Feel free to read the article here.

I've saved all my handwritten letters and cards since 1996, when I saw the writing on the wall so to speak. They are all in chronological order, sorted by sender, each year's prizes finally tied together in a lovely ribbon and labeled....boxed in white boxes from the container store....which are also labeled...but I'm not the least bit OCD.... ;)
ReplyDeleteI had my handwriting analyzed at a fundraiser a few years ago and it was so interesting I thought it would be fun to take a graphology class - but then I quickly realized, who writes anything anymore?? We'd have to have an email/text messageology class ;-)
